This was my first time traveling to the long island. It took us three hours to get to the Hampton Dunes from Orange county, but what a great feeling that was.
The beach was quiet during the middle of the week, and the sand was pure and white. The water was on the chilly side, but that did not stop us, we thoroughly enjoyed swimming.
On the second day, we went to the Fire island nearby and explored the lighthouse. It was a great getaway and close to home.
